New Site for Dulux Powder & Industrial Coatings
Over the past few months Dulux Powder & Industrial Coatings have been progressively moving into their new facility at Dandenong South.
The new site brings together the different areas of the business: (Customer Service/Sales/ Administration, R & D and Manufacturing) under one roof that were previously located on 3 separate sites.
Safety was a key element of the design brief. Forklifts and pedestrian traffic have been separated, safe access for semi trailers have been provided and many heavy lifting manual tasks will be replaced with the installation of robotic machinery.
In addition, the site will use and recycle the rainfall collected on its roof, significantly reducing dependence on town water supplies.
New manufacturing equipment will increase production yield and batch size flexibility, with the capability to reprocess raw materials.
With the aim to be in full production in September, the new site heralds the start of a new and exciting era for the Dulux Powder & Industrial Coatings business.
